When Tracey Adams decides she can't take any more of NYC life, her friends Margot and Caitlyn agree: it's time to settle down and get out of the city. With visions of white picket fences dancing in their heads, they form a joke association -- The Settle Down Society -- and start dating with marriage in mind.
Tracey thinks she's struck gold, but it doesn't take long for her new fiance to show his true colors. Meanwhile, she keeps running into Mason, an NYPD detective who doesn't always see her at her best. But when the crusty cop shows her his heart of gold, what's a girl supposed to do?

Emerging into the post-pandemic world has been an uneven and sometimes treacherous road for many of us. I have a great empathy for Tracey and the panic she now experiences in any kind of crowd situation. That she would meet a man like Mason who could be stable and supportive without making her 'less' gave her a chance to bloom once more as an artist. Together they find that they can establish roots in a community that is enough 'not-city' without being entirely 'country' that they can have the best of New York life.
I received an ARC copy of this story from the author via BookFunnel and voluntarily chose to share my review.
Book 2 of 3 is another page turner! This book is all about Tracey’s search for her ‘happily ever after’. I feel for her character- it almost seems like if she didn’t have bad luck she’d have no luck at all! In true rom com style you just never know. I won’t spoil anything by saying anymore, just give it a read. You won’t be disappointed! Just be sure you are ready to not be able to put it down :)
Tracey, Margot and Caitlyn are back in this second installment from New York City.
What do an NYPD detective and and art dealer have in common? Find out on this wild ride through New York's seasons and boroughs until you, too, will be falling in love in and with NYC ❤️
I think I tore through this book in about 2 days! From the moment the story opens, i kept wanting to know what would happen next.
You first met Tracey in the prequel book The Weekend We Met, and even then you wanted to know what was next to her. This was such a fun tale of her finding herself, and what she really was looking for underneath all the glitz and glamour and sometimes chaos of NYC.
Left me excited for what book #3's take will tell!
Oh my goodness. Quite a roller coaster in the second book of The Settle Down Summer series. I love Natalie's equestrian theme books and i wasn't disappointed by this new genre.
Binge a favorite series!
